Haiyang Confucianism palace
Haiyang Confucianism palace is commonly called study palace, at west end Changli Road, Chaozhou. According to Qing¡¶Chaozhou mark¡·record: County Confucianism palace ¡°Old in official residence in west county¡±.
Till year 1100, county officer Chen Tan move to Jingfang (that is today site). Hereafter there are repair in past dynasties, make Haiyang become a magnificent and well-preserved ancient building group. But due to history, now existing area is only 4,000 square meters, main building is lingxing Gate, Companion pool, two wing-room, Dacheng Gate and Dacheng palace.
Dacheng palace is the main building of Haiyang palace, still well preserved building custom of Ming up to the present, layer eaves rest hill roof, west extends five rooms; enter four rooms, golden box as bottom and net layout.
Chaozhou museum now set in county Confucianism palace, visit palace except enjoy unique architecture, treasure display in palace is numerous, culture relics sort is complete, include bowlder, chinaware, copper, iron and tin ware, Chaohou wood carving, embroidery, ancient painting and word, local literature (traditional thread binding), folk-custom culture relics, revolution culture relics etc.
