Xiangpu stockade village

Xiangpu stockade village locates at Guxiang, Guxiang block, sit west slanting north, village 162.5 meters wide, 154.4 deep. Village is square, construct pattern is norm and precise. There is a saying “Three Street, six alleys and seventy wing-rooms, each pattern is different”. All village passes in and out from one door. And has alleyway connect to back “Surname Chen big ancestral hall”. Alleyway is about 110 meters long, 59 meters wide; there are three single file alleys of two sides, and each alley is 140 meters long, 2.3 meters wide. From village to back big ancestral hall, build three avenues through whole village; First Street is 157 meters long, 2.7 meters wide; Second Street is 157 meters long, 3.7 meters wide; third is 157 meters long and 1.5 meters wide, there is stele “Xiangpu stockaded village” on the gate. There is inscribe, up is “Autumn of Renshu”, down is “Yingchuan sounty stand”.

Scale of Xiangpu stockaded village is huge, payout in reason; still preserves building of different dynasties Song, Ming and Qing inside village, among “Surname Chen big ancestral hall” has building feature of Song dynasty, such as wood gate. Hypertrophy thick and no adornment. There are 72 building respectively is single, two and three enter. Door also has lot of difference, it is said four corner of village original has one well; every compartment also has one well. Whole village has 76 well. Back of village build storied building parallel with village door building.
