Jiaoshuikeng virgin forest
Jiaoshuikeng virgin forest is one small village of Dashan town, Chaoan. Long time in the past, village is always unknown to public. Untill recent years; due to this village possess one virgin forest which is best preserved in Chaozhou at present so begin ¡°well-known¡±.
Lots of tourist attracted by mysterious color of virgin forest, they are not afraid of hard work come to visit in succession. The area is about 5,000 unit of area, dense forest is near 2,000 unit of area, circumference 500 unit of area of crane top hill is virgin, never exploit and fell. There still 400 unit of area ancient forest, accord to the introduction of villager, ancient forest has over 300 years age, one tree already near 700 years, circumference reach 6.5 meters. Because entironment is very ideal, sort of bird and animal is also very rich, some wild animal like culver, partridge, chicken, color sparrow, thrush, hare can seen everywhere. Around village, there is 1,500 unit of area of bamboo shoot woods and scenery is very grand. Besides, there is also an over thousand unit of area grassland fit for herd at south slope of village.
Jiaoshuikeng, just as its name implies water sound. There are three portrait parallel brook at northwest of village, respectively is Mazuhan brook, Shibitou brook and Guizukeng brook. Mazuhan brook has a 71 meter high megalith wall, close to gully, brook from wall rush down forming waterfall; fall of hibitou brook is 30 meters, mix sound become music, blooming all over hill along brook; total fall of Guizukeng brook is about 15 meters, natural forming 6 level cascade. Good entiroment and rich tour resource of Jiaoshuikeng become one of Chaozhou famous scenic spot.
