Han ancestral oak
Han Wengong ancestral temple locates at the foot of penholder hill, east bank of Han River, build to commemorate Han Yu. Former Han ancestral temple built in the year 999, built by Chaozhou general judge Chen Roazuo at the foot of gold hill ¡°Han ancestral temple¡±, in 1090, magistrate of state move it to south city, Shu Shi write ¡¶Chaozhou Changli temple stele¡·. In year 1189 magistrate of army Ding Yunyuan consider Han Yu oftern visit and plant oak here, Han ancestral temple should build here, so move Han Wengong ancestral temple here till nowadays, it is said oak that planted by Han Yu just in front of temple, according to minister of sites Wang Dabao¡¯s description in ¡¶Han oak praise¡·, shape like baldachin shield eave, its scarfskin as scale shape, leaf slender and long, nervation is heave as edges and corners shape, blossom out between spring and summer, alternate with red and white, very beautiful, but flower are not often bloom, Chaozhou people advocate so imitate this oak plant by Han Yu. ¡°take numerous and rare of flower to predict rise and fall of fame¡±, even ¡¶Chaozhou record¡·has record ¡°night year in Qianlong oak is blooming, get fame¡±. And then, ancestral temple condole sage, oak predict fame, ¡°Han ancestral temple oak¡± become one of the Chaozhou eight great scenery. 
Han Wengogn ancestral temple is against mountain and face water. Written ¡°Han Wengogn ancestral temple¡± on circle pole stone torii, enters from right gate, right side of back corridor of torri, build near hundred-meter stele corridor. From near 5000 calligraphys by all level of nation lead and famous painter and calligrapher at home and overseas, choose 404 to engraved, reflect with ancient stele in temple, make thousand years ancient temple more sobrieties and elegant, literature is brilliant. Han Wengogn ancestral temple is a respectful and dignified ancestral temple, central of the palace mold Han Yu figure, two sided mold attendants Zhang Qian, Li Wan. stelae in the temple engraved couplet, 40 stele carve of past dynasty on four walls, record the history of Han ancestral temple, achievements on polity of Han Yu and poem that praise Han Yu. On left side of palace there is a stele ¡°achievement not under Yu¡±, this sentence originally from article of Han Yu. Under the double oppression of ancient spirit power and imperial power, he considers control idea of people is harder than water-control, use this to praise achievements that Mencius promulgate Confucianism is not under Yu control the water, later generation in reverse use his word to praise him.
