Ancient Datu Nunnery
Locates in Fuchang (former Yongfenghui), is a Buddha field of Chaozhou, also a culture relics possess history value.
Now nunnery preserved seven stele and stone carved, can for tracing to the source. According to burning incense stele, this is built by dignitary Da De. Other stele exist in nunnery shows that from 1662 to 1893, through many official, repaired by dignitary in past dynasty. And add wall, rebuild Buddha palace, dredge up canal. In year 1877, Chaozhou official Liu Guinian inscribed ¡°Datu Nunnery¡± in body.
Mold a 10 meters high Kwan-yin eikon in high pavilion, two corridor mold eighteen avatar. High pavilion named Kind Pavilion, China Buddhism Association Chairman Zhao Puchu inscribe name, after repair Ancient Datu Nunnery is more capacious and majesty than before.
