South Yue Fenshui Barrier

South Yue Fenshui barrier locates at the boundary of Xianchun village Raoping and Shangying village Fuijian, first build in year 1520, during Jiajing set “Relationship of Min and Yue” mere stone. In early Tianqi build barrier city, around wall is more than 3,900 meters, 5.6 meters high. Set east, west and north three gates, build one emplacement inside barrier, respectively 2 barracks on left and right, still Kwan-yin hall, stone torii, four-angle kiosk and repair in year 1867. At the end of Ming and early Qing, nation hero Zheng Chenggong ever station here to oppugn Qing armies. In the 1907, after Dingmo uprise fail, justice army fell back on Fenshui barrier to fight with Qing army. At 30 ages of 20 century, because build Shantou, Zhangzhou road, city wall is destroyed. Now only remain mere stone, Kwan-yin hall, and stone torii (In Ming dynasty four hundred build in order to praise assistant general soldiers) and “Resist Japan mark” set on September 3th, 1945.
